Definitions

1.1 "Company" means Shangri-La Hotel Limited registered at 22 Orange Grove Road, Singapore 258350.
1.2 "Hotel" means Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore located at 22 Orange Grove Road, Singapore 258350.
1.3 "Programme" means Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Programme.
1.4 "Card" refers to Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Card and shall include the Classic and Platinum Card which is issued to a Member under this Programme.
1.5 "Member" means the person to whom a Card is issued by the Hotel subject to these Terms and Conditions.
1.6 "Account" means the account of the member with the Hotel opened in respect of the Card to capture Points issued to him/her and the redemption thereof.
1.7 "Points" shall mean the Points credited to the Member's Account in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
1.8 "Merchant" is an individual, firm or company engaged in the business of selling and providing goods and/or services featured in the Rewards Gallery, including the Hotel.
1.9 "Reward" means privilege/benefit/merchandise featured in the Reward Gallery.
1.10 "Rewards Gallery" means the catalogue published on Shangri-La Singapore Rewards website maintained and updated by the Hotel from time to time.
1.11 "Redemption Voucher" means the voucher issued by the Hotel to the member for the purpose of claiming the Reward according to the member's entitlement based upon the Points accumulated in his Account.
1.12 "Loyalty Centre" shall refer to the office at the Hotel administering this Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Programme.
1.13 Words referring to the male gender shall include the female gender and words referring to the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa.

General Conditions

2.1 The Hotel reserves the right and at any time at its absolute discretion and without giving any reason or notice, to:
a) vary, modify or amend these Terms and Conditions in a manner deemed appropriate by the Hotel. The member shall be bound by such amendments and not be entitled to payment of any compensation whatsoever.
b) terminate the Programme, withdraw, cancel or invalidate any Reward without liability and the member shall be bound by such termination and not be entitled to payment of any compensation whatsoever.
c) any other terms and conditions as may be stipulated by the respective participating merchants or third party operators, service providers or suppliers engaged by the Hotel to provide the Rewards featured in this Programme.
2.2 The awarding of the Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Points shall be entirely at the discretion of the Hotel. The Hotel shall not be liable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by the Member in relation to or in connection with the Programme and/or the Rewards and/or the goods, services, privileges, rights and merchandise provided by the Merchants and the vendors of the Reward.
2.3 The Hotel may from time to time declare expiry dates for the validity of Points and publish such dates on the Shangri-La Singapore Rewards website, and may request all Members to redeem their Points before the expiry dates and shall specify conditions governing the expiry of the redemption dates. In such an event, the Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Points accumulated in an Account shall no longer be valid for redeeming any Reward after the expiry of the Redemption date.
2.4 Any abuse or fraud in respect of the award or redemption of Shangri-La Singapore Rewards may result in cancellation of the accrued Shangri-La Singapore Rewards and any Redemption Voucher already issued.
2.5 The Member hereby authorises the Hotel to disclose information about the Member and the Account to third parties for the purposes of the Programme.
2.6 The Hotel's decision on all matters pertaining to the Programme shall be final and binding on the Member and no correspondence shall be entertained.
2.7 The Hotel records of all matters relating to the Programme shall be conclusive and binding on the Member.
2.8 The Hotel shall not be held liable for any delay in service arising from undelivered correspondences due to the fault of third party dispatch services and change of or incorrect address which has not been communicated to Shangri-La Singapore Rewards.
2.9 The Hotel shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, due directly or indirectly, to the failure of any machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God or anything outside the control of the Hotel.

Eligibility / Participation

3.1 Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Employment Pass holders and Dependant Pass holders who are not residing at the Hotel either temporarily or on a permanent basis and who are not directors, employees and relatives of the employees of the Hotel are eligible to apply for and participate in this Programme, subject to the Terms and Conditions herein contained.
3.2 The membership will be terminated should the minimum account maintenance criteria not be met.
3.3 The Card issued to the Member is not transferable. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse privileges (points issuance, discount, etc.) should the card be used by a person other than the Member.
3.4 The Card shall at all times remain the property of the Hotel and must be surrendered to the Hotel upon request.
3.5 Notwithstanding anything herein, the Hotel reserves the right to refuse any applicant, customer or Member from participating in the Programme with or without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
3.6 The Programme is valid only in Singapore, at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore unless otherwise stated.
3.7 Participation in the Programme requires the member to maintain a Member's Account with the Hotel.
3.8 The Hotel may at its sole discretion, issue an Account to Members who have previously held an Account with the Hotel under a similar programme. The Hotel shall have the right to cancel any such Card issued by it due to an apparent error and forfeit all Points that may have been credited to the member account without any compensation to the member.

Qualifying Goods and/or services

4.1 Points will be awarded to the Member for purchase of specific products and services at the participating food and beverage outlets of the Hotel (excluding room service, mini bar, banquet and catering), hereto referred to as the Qualifying Goods and/or Services.
4.2 The Hotel reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of participating outlets as it deems fit.
4.3 The Hotel shall have absolute right to close any part of the Hotel for the purpose of renovation and/or redesigning and/or for any other reasons, temporarily or permanently.

Privileges

5.1 The Hotel reserves the right to modify privileges at any time without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

Transferability

5.2 Members are entitled to Points for the purchase of qualifying goods and/or services and when qualifying goods and/or services is/are paid for by the Member. No points will be awarded for settlements made by a payee other than the Member.
5.3 Discounts, Points, Rewards and other privileges awarded cannot be transferred, assigned or otherwise dealt with, except by the Member and only in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
5.4 Points awarded and credited to different Cards cannot be combined, accumulated or aggregated for any Reward redemption or for any other purpose.

Discount

5.5 Discount is deducted off the total bill in accordance to Shangri-La Singapore Index or promotion applicable.
5.6 Members may enjoy Shangri-La Index discount applicable on any day in participating outlets.
5.7 No discount shall be applicable for purchases made when Membership has not been approved by the Hotel.

Complimentary Parking

5.8 1 complimentary parking coupon will be issued for each active Card per dining visit.

Birthday Privileges

5.9 Birthday privilege is valid for one-time use and valid throughout the month of Member's birthday, except on special occasions, eve of and public holidays unless it is the actual birthdate. Once expired, its validity shall not be extended.

Points

5.10 1 Point is credited for every 1 Singapore Dollar purchase of qualifying goods and services after discounts and before taxes. Cents will be round down to the nearest dollar for the purpose of computing Points.
5.11 Points shall have no cash or monetary or other value except as provided herein.
5.12 No Points shall be credited to the Account for the purchases made when Membership has not been approved by the Hotel.
5.13 Points will only be issued on the physical production of the Card immediately before the payment of Qualifying goods and/or services purchases.
5.14 The Hotel will not entertain, under any circumstances and for any reason, retroactive claims from any Member for the crediting of Points due to Member's negligence.
5.15 The Hotel, at its absolute discretion, shall have the right to revise the number of Points awarded for the purchase of qualifying goods and services and modify the same for points from time to time as it deems fit, without advance notification to the Member.
5.16 The Hotel shall have the right to disallow Points awarded in conjunction with any other promotion organised by the Hotel which may or may not involve special monetary discounts and/or other privileges.
5.17 The Hotel will not be liable for any error or delay in the updating of details of the Member's account for whatever reasons, including but not limited to loss of accumulated Points or loss suffered due to a breakdown, failure of machinery, processor, computer hardware and software failures and communication and interfacing failures etc. Members are advised to check Points awarded and are advised to keep their receipts.
5.18 The Hotel may, at its sole discretion, upon receiving an application for replacement of a damaged or defective Card and on the fulfillment of the conditions prescribed for the replacement of the Card, as notified from time to time, decide to issue a new Card to the Member with a new Account and restore the Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Points to the new Account. The new Card shall be collected by the Member personally from the Loyalty Centre after producing the requisite identification papers, together with the damaged or defective Card.
5.19 The Hotel may award special Bonus Points for certain purchases to members taking part in special promotions for qualifying goods and services, on fulfillment of specific conditions pertaining to the special promotion.

Point Redemption

5.20 Points earned within the first half of the year will be valid through the successive half of the year, and so on. Points which are not redeemed by the end of the validity period will be forfeited without further notice to the Member and without any liability whatsoever on the part of the Hotel in respect thereof.
5.21 A Member may redeem any number of Shangri-La Singapore Rewards Points awarded and credited to his Account for the Reward of his choice as listed in the Rewards Gallery, The Rewards Gallery may be varied and updated by the Hotel, at its absolute discretion, from time to time on Shangri-La Singapore Rewards website.
5.22 Rewards redemption may be done through online redemption or submission of completed Redemption Form to the Loyalty Centre.
5.23 The number of Points required to redeem Reward shall be deducted from the Account upon receipt of redemption request.
5.24 Reward redemption is subject to availability of Reward and is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
5.25 The Hotel reserves the right to replace the Reward in the Rewards Gallery with another of similar value as may be determined by the Hotel. The Hotel shall have the absolute right to change and vary the Reward as it deems fit. Members are advised to refer to Shangri-La Singapore Rewards website for the latest update of the Rewards Gallery.
5.26 Items may be collected at The Concierge within 7 days of request receipt.

Reward Usage

5.27 To use a Reward, the Member must present the relevant Redemption Voucher with his proof of identification at the relevant participating Merchant.
5.28 Use of the Redemption Voucher is subject to the Terms and Conditions herein stated as well as the Terms and Conditions stated on the Redemption Voucher.
5.29 The Redemption Voucher must be utilised within the period specified on the Redemption Voucher and its validity may not be extended.
5.30 Rewards awarded and credited to any Member which is subsequently lost, misplaced, or destroyed shall be deemed forfeited and the Hotel shall not be liable to replace the Account or the forfeited Rewards or be liable howsoever for or in respect of the said Account.
5.31 Redeemed Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, kind, Shangri-La Singapore Rewards points or another Reward.
5.32 Rewards in the form of vouchers cannot be used to purchase any item that is on sale, special offer or used in conjunction with any other discount, membership or privilege card, offer voucher or similar scheme unless the Member is informed otherwise by the relevant participating Merchant or the Hotel.
5.33 For purchases exceeding the face value indicated on the Redemption Voucher, the Member must pay the shortfall at his own expense.
5.34 There will be no refund of the difference by the Hotel or any participating Merchant if the Redemption Voucher value is higher than the value of goods or services purchased with the Redemption Voucher.
5.35 If the redemption of Rewards is in the form of dining and room vouchers, issuance of such voucher does not constitute a reservation. Members are responsible for making reservations at the participating outlets at the Hotel or notifying the participating Merchant of the redemption.
5.36 The Hotel makes no product representation or warranty, explicit or implied, and hereby disclaims any and all liability, concerning the quality, condition, satisfactory quality, merchantability or fitness for use of the products and services provided in the Programme. The Hotel will not be liable for any loss or injury suffered by the Members and / or third parties as a result of use and enjoyment of any Reward.

Platinum privileges

5.37 The Hotel shall issue Platinum Cards to members who have spent S$7,500 or more (after discount and taxes) within 12 calendar months from enrolment into the Programme.
5.38 Platinum Cards issued will not be renewed the following year if the Member has not fulfilled a minimum spend of S$7,500 within a calendar year. The Member's Account will be converted to Classic Membership.
5.39 1 Account is entitled to IU registration for 1 car for the purpose of complimentary parking at The Hotel.
